Description
Either I mistake your shape and making quite,
Or else you are that shrewd and knavish sprite
Call'd Robin Goodfellow: are not you he
That frights the maidens of the villagery;
Skim milk, and sometimes labour in the quern
And bootless make the breathless housewife churn;
And sometime make the drink to bear no barm;
Mislead night-wanderers, laughing at their harm?
Those that Hobgoblin call you and sweet Puck,
You do their work, and they shall have good luck:
Are not you he?
- A Midsummer Night's Dream, Act II, Scene I
-------
This morning I was inspired to combine the things I love with something Shakespearean, and naturally, the first thing that came to mind was A Midsummer Night's Dream. I decided to merge characters, or something like that, and make something creative and pretty.
I started with Puck, because he's my favorite character in the play; he tickles me much. x3 I ended up pairing him with Dean. I know that Dean's character is more heroic and valiant than Puck's, but I like the idea of him being a pointy-eared, mischievous, clever and forgetful pixie/fae. My favorite part of this picture is his ears and markings, which I added to make him seem more mystical.
I think that I might do either Bottom or Oberon next.
